One Maxim’s store in Vilnius has been temporarily closed due to the storm’s effects

Water ingress into the ventilation system of one shopping hall, caused by heavy rainfall, necessitated the suspension of operations to ensure the safety of employees and customers, according to the retail chain. The affected store is currently undergoing necessary repairs and is scheduled to resume normal business activities tomorrow morning. While the damage was reported at this location, the retail chain confirmed that other maxim locations were also impacted by the recent storm.

Specific sites at Mindaugo g. 11, Medeinos g. 39-65, Savanorių pr.

31, Žirmūnų g. 89A, and Gilužio g. 5 experienced effects from the weather, but operations at these branches are continuing as usual.

The closures and disruptions are part of a broader weather event that struck parts of Lithuania over Saturday and Sunday, bringing heavy thunderstorms and rain. In related safety reports, the PAGD noted that emergency services responded to 34 road accidents in the preceding hour. The required safety measures were implemented due to the severity of the weather conditions across the region.
