The head of the electricity supplier Enefit is stepping down from his position

Donatas Celešius, a member of the Enefit OÜ Board, has temporarily assumed the role previously held by the Lithuanian leader. Celešius currently serves as a board member and development leader for the company’s operations across the Baltics and Poland. Gerritas Mäesalu, the head of Enefit OÜ for the Baltic and Polish regions, explained that the change in the Lithuanian leadership position is part of the company’s expansion and structural adjustments.

Mäesalu stated that since the start of the year, Enefit OÜ has integrated all electricity-related areas—including retail and wholesale trade, renewable energy production, and development—into a single organizational unit. This consolidation, according to Mäesalu, represents a significant move intended to boost the company’s competitiveness, enhance collaboration across various markets, and generate increased value for its customers. In light of these comprehensive structural changes, the decision was made to temporarily replace the Lithuanian leader to ensure the achievement of specific business objectives.

The restructuring within Enefit OÜ reflects a strategic effort to streamline operations and maximize market potential across its key operational territories. The temporary appointment of Celešius is thus framed as a necessary measure to navigate this period of growth and organizational evolution.
