A comprehensive plan for a new cultural, business, and residential quarter is slated for development at Preiliai street 9, situated in the vicinity of the Klaipėda Cruise Terminal. The initiative is being spearheaded by “Elpekas,” a local real estate investment and development company that also initiated the competitive tender process. The selection process involved a rigorous evaluation by an expert commission.
Following the submission period, the evaluation commission determined that the overall quality of the proposals was high, noting that the majority of submitted works were professionally prepared. Consequently, the commission declared the tender successful. The assessment process required reviewers and experts to present their findings, after which the commission convened in a closed session to evaluate all submitted projects in detail.
During this session, the proposals were systematically ranked based on the accumulated scores. The commission’s final assessment confirmed the existence of at least one viable alternative among the diverse set of submitted architectural and development concepts. This structured evaluation ensures that the development of the new quarter proceeds based on thoroughly vetted and professionally vetted proposals.
The outcome of this tender will guide the next phase of planning for the significant urban revitalization project.
