This experience sparked an idea: creating an accelerated version of their song, “Birthday.” He envisioned this faster arrangement as a way to encourage people to celebrate every day and embrace life’s positive moments. Having developed a demo recording, Akulavičius determined his ideal collaborators for the performance.
He emphasized that the project would not be treated as a purely commercial venture. Instead, he sought genuine camaraderie with friends who shared the same level of dedication to their craft, mirroring the commitment he shares with Donatas. This dedication is central to the new endeavor, “Patruliai.” According to Akulavičius, the commitment required for the second song in the set is significant; the physical exertion during the performance demands that all members contribute their utmost effort.
He reflected on this process while the band was on a family vacation in Palanga. The underlying goal, he stated, is to create something genuinely heartfelt. The aim is to deliver a good performance rooted in sincere friendship and shared passion, rather than market expectation.
