A local resident was caught in Rietavas municipality growing cannabis in pots and buckets

During recent proceedings at a local agricultural facility, several items were discovered that indicated illicit activity. Specifically, six plastic pots containing hemp were found within a greenhouse located in the village. Within the main agricultural building, authorities inventoried various pieces of equipment, including three plant dryers, four grinders, and electronic scales.

Additionally, nine glass jars, which were suspected of containing prohibited plant-based materials, were also found. A separate area within the agricultural building yielded further evidence. Equipment presumed to be used for the growing of prohibited hemp was recovered, alongside seventeen plastic buckets containing plants.

These buckets bore specific markings associated with hemp cultivation. Furthermore, unrelated items were also seized from the facility. Sixteen packets of cigarettes were taken into custody, as they were not marked in compliance with the established procedures mandated by the law of the Republic of Lithuania.

The comprehensive sweep confirmed multiple instances where materials related to the growing of hemp were found across different sections of the property. All findings were documented as part of the ongoing investigation.
