The Panevėžys Culture Center serves as a critical cultural hub within the city, functioning as a meeting point for artists, creative collectives, and the general public. According to Panevėžys City Council Vice-Mayor Rytis Mykolas Račkauskas, the planned revitalization aims to achieve several objectives simultaneously: improving the technical infrastructure, reducing energy consumption, and crucially, preserving the distinctive architectural character of the building. The overall goal is to enhance the center’s comfort and accessibility for the community while providing superior working and organizing conditions for the staff and artistic groups that sustain the city’s cultural life.
Project proposals developed by UAB “In Ace” outline a comprehensive renovation plan for the facility. The scope of work is extensive, detailing necessary modernizations across multiple systems. These improvements include insulating the facade, replacing existing windows and doors, and upgrading the heating, ventilation, water supply, sewage, electricity, and lighting systems.
Furthermore, the plan incorporates the installation of a solar power plant on the roof, ensuring the continued functionality and sustainability of this vital cultural center for the city.
