On August 25, at approximately 11:30 PM, Klaipėda firefighters responded to an incident on Baltic Prospekt concerning a structure fire in a multi-apartment building. Upon arrival, emergency personnel observed that an apartment was actively burning with open flames. Prior to the arrival of the fire department, police officers assisted a woman exiting the premises.
She was located in the stairwell adjacent to the burning apartment door. Following the evacuation, the woman declined medical examination. Meanwhile, residents of neighboring units proactively evacuated the building.
Separately, other recent incidents have been reported across the region. In Vilnius, a separate fire destroyed a garage structure, resulting in the loss of several vehicles, including cars and motorcycles, alongside damage to household items and the antechamber walls of the building. Investigations are underway regarding the cause of this structural fire.
Additionally, emergency services were dispatched to Aluksne following a separate incident involving gas from a balloon, which resulted in one person sustaining injuries. These reports indicate ongoing incidents requiring emergency response across different locations.
