An accident occurred at the G. K. farm on September 4th of last year involving a grain transfer trailer.
The incident took place while the farmer, G. K., had instructed two men, who were reportedly working without proper authorization on the premises, to clean the equipment. During the operation, one worker was responsible for driving the trailer’s mechanism, while the other stood near the edge of the trailer, overseeing the complete removal of the grain.
Once the cleaning process was finished, the second worker reportedly entered the interior of the trailer. He did so without the knowledge or observation of his colleague. Subsequently, the worker became pinned by the mechanism that was still operating.
No one noticed the man, who sustained severe head and spinal injuries, until the evening. The discovery was made when the farmer received a phone call originating from the trailer located outside the main yard. Upon investigating the source of the call, the farmer approached the trailer and observed the man trapped and severely injured inside.
The farmer immediately contacted his father and a farm worker accompanied by a family member. Following these initial calls, four men were required to physically carry the injured man out of the trailer. The accident highlighted the dangers associated with operating heavy machinery and the critical importance of safety protocols in agricultural settings.
