According to a report filed by the Yamatecha company, an incident involving theft was reported on June 2, occurring at approximately 3:02 a.m. Surveillance cameras monitoring the area recorded details pertaining to the vehicle allegedly involved in the crime, including its state registration number and the identity of the individual operating it. The missing property, a stolen boat, was later recovered from the yard belonging to the nearby Vydūno school.
However, upon discovery, the vessel was found without its operational engine. Authorities suspect that the primary objective of the perpetrators was the theft of the motor unit. All collected materials, including video recordings and other evidence deemed important to the investigation, have been formally submitted to the Klaipėda City Police Department.
A pre-trial investigation is currently underway, with the stated aim of identifying and apprehending those responsible for the theft. The police investigation is proceeding based on the physical evidence gathered from the scene and the recovered property. This incident follows other recent reports of property loss in the region, including the theft of an electric mountain bike valued at 3,000 euros in Kaunas, and the reported theft of multiple Toyota models in Šiauliai.
Authorities continue to treat the case as an active criminal investigation.
