Preliminary investigations suggest that an individual, in collaboration with a company driver—whose involvement is under separate investigation—and other unidentified persons, is suspected of organizing the illicit transport of stolen vehicles from Germany to Lithuania. According to case data, in March 2024, a company truck was reportedly loaded with several high-value, stolen cars, including a “Porsche 911 Turbo” and a “Porsche GT3.” The total estimated value of these vehicles exceeded 318 thousand euros. The shipment was allegedly moved from Germany to Lithuania via the port of Kiel.
To conceal the actual cargo and evade potential inspections, authorities discovered that an international cargo transport bill of lading had been falsified. This document contained misleading details regarding the sender, recipient, and the purported cargo, which was listed as used clothing rather than the valuable automobiles. The investigation points to a coordinated effort to move the stolen assets across international borders.
In connection with this case, a young Lithuanian national was apprehended in Poland. Authorities are continuing their inquiry into the full scope of the operation and the roles played by all involved parties in moving the stolen cars out of Germany.
