A drunk driver of the Audi crashed into a tree in Širvintos district

According to reports from the Vilnius County Police Department, an incident occurred on August 8th at approximately 2:34 PM in the Paširvinčio village, located within the Musninkų municipality and district. The accident involved an Audi A6 sedan operated by a male driver, who was reportedly intoxicated at the time of the incident. Witness accounts and preliminary police findings established that the driver lost control of the vehicle, causing the audi to leave the roadway and collide with a roadside tree.

Upon the scene, police officers assessed the condition of the operator and determined that the driver had a blood alcohol concentration of 2.06 prom. drunk. Following the crash, the authorities initiated a preliminary investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident.

The police department confirmed that the driver was taken into custody and faced immediate legal scrutiny due to the severity of the impairment. Authorities noted that operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol carries significant legal penalties. Consequently, the driver was subsequently threatened with a potential custodial sentence of up to one year in prison.
