Security camera footage has recorded an incident that occurred on Monday at the private Opolė nursery school, “Autobusik,” shortly before 7 a.m. The video evidence captured the general activity within the facility, showing a group of approximately 14 children engaged in play with toys. Several children were observed gathered near the door, seated close to the supervising teacher.
The sequence of events detailed in the footage involved a boy wearing white shorts and a blue shirt who was positioned near the exit. During the incident, an unusual sight was noted in the adjacent Užulėnis area: a fox interacting with a ball. For reasons that remain unclear—potentially intended as a distraction—a woman suddenly grabbed the boy’s hand.
This action caused him to fall backward, making contact with a nearby chair. Following the fall, the boy managed to stand up and resumed moving toward the door. At this point, the teacher intervened, stepping forward to take hold of the child.
The security footage provides a detailed account of the moments leading up to the intervention. Authorities are reviewing the material to determine the full context of the interaction between the woman, the child, and the surrounding circumstances.
