A ragwud fire in Kaunas district destroyed the sculptor’s workshop

Firefighters from the Kaunas Fire Brigade responded to an incident in the Zapyškis municipality, specifically in Jadagonių village, on July 22nd. At approximately 11:44 PM, emergency services were dispatched after reports indicated a structure fire at a local workshop. Upon arrival, the responding units found an active fire within a single-story brick farmhouse, noting that the roof had partially collapsed.

The firefighters reported that a significant part of their initial efforts involved the careful removal of four gas cylinders from the burning building to mitigate further risk. These recent operations highlight the ongoing commitment of local emergency services to public safety. Separately, another significant fire incident occurred in the early morning hours involving a multi-apartment building in Vilnius.

In that separate event, firefighters managed to contain and extinguish the blaze after a prolonged effort lasting seven hours.
