The Criminal Investigation Department of the Criminal Intelligence Service is currently conducting an investigation concerning several serious offenses. These include the abuse or illicit possession of narcotic or psychotropic substances intended for distribution, the illicit possession of large quantities of such substances, and the unauthorized possession of firearms, ammunition, explosives, or explosive materials. As part of this ongoing criminal inquiry, officers from the Criminal Intelligence Service executed operations on May 29th, around 6:30 a.m.
Following both public and non-public investigative procedures, the service apprehended a junior specialist employed by the Security Management Department at the Marijampolė prison.
