The municipal company Grinda has announced upcoming surface sewerage network reconstruction scheduled to take place from July 27 through August 31 within a section of the local street. These essential infrastructure upgrades necessitate temporary changes to local traffic patterns and access routes. During the period when the Taikos Street section is being reconstructed, transit vehicle traffic will be suspended through the affected area.
However, residents and pedestrians will not face any restrictions, and access to all private residences will be maintained throughout the duration of the work. The reconstruction efforts also require modifications to public transportation services. Consequently, bus routes 43 and 73 will operate on a temporarily altered schedule and route.
To accommodate the construction, these bus lines will utilize a designated bypass route via Riga Street. Passengers should note that temporary bus stops have been established at Justiniškės and Atžalynas to ensure continued service continuity. These necessary works pertain to the sewerage network infrastructure, ensuring the long-term maintenance of the municipal street.
Authorities advise the public to plan travel accordingly, adhering to the temporary detours while the system is being fully reconstructed.
