Several instances of unusual aerial activity have been reported involving multiple plane movements around Vilnius. According to flight tracking websites, at least three separate instances of prolonged circling have been observed. One reported plane journey indicated a flight originating from Antalya, Turkey, destined for Vilnius, which was observed making multiple circuits and remaining airborne without landing.
A second notable event involved a plane traveling from Stansted (London) and Helsinki (Finland) towards Vilnius, which similarly showed signs of prolonged circling. Furthermore, another flight path, tracked from Heraklion (Crete) to Vilnius, also exhibited unusual behavior. This particular plane circled repeatedly around the Vilnius area.
While its trajectory later shifted toward Kaunas, it reportedly remained unable to land, despite what was expected. These tracking reports highlight several instances where commercial air traffic appeared to deviate from expected landing procedures in the vicinity of Vilnius. The reports suggest repeated circling patterns for various aircraft making approaches to or passing near the capital.
