Two employees reported to the news portal Kas vyksta Kaune concerning an incident that took place in Ramučiai, Daval, on the night of July 25th, around 3:20 a.m. Furthermore, the reports included details suggesting the deceased colleague’s health was affected while at work, and that police in Klaipėda are investigating potential arson, citing video footage as evidence. However, the employees raised several serious concerns regarding the aftermath of the event.
They alleged that production activities did not cease following the incident, noting that workers continued operating in proximity to where the deceased colleague’s body was located for an extended period. Additionally, the staff reported that no psychological support was offered to the workers following the traumatic event. The employees also raised specific questions about several aspects of the response.
These questions focused on the organization of first aid procedures, the accessibility of defibrillators, the management of the accident site, and the structure of work implemented after the incident. In response to these claims, the news portal contacted both the company, Aumovio Lithuania, and the State Labor Inspectorate (VDI) to address the reported circumstances. The focus remains on accountability regarding workplace safety protocols and the care provided to employees following a critical incident.
