R. Puchovičius questioned the necessity of certain established requirements, stating that his personal financial history does not inherently connect to his political affiliation. He emphasized that, viewing his situation as an individual rather than a political figure or party member, his income over the last decade has been consistently derived from his company.
He noted that his income sources—including salary and dividends—were all related to this single, profitable enterprise, and argued that this financial relationship with the company holds no connection to the political party. Regarding his contributions, Puchovičius stated that he provided financial support to “Nemuno aušra” to the maximum extent permitted by law. He specified that the amount donated was equivalent to up to 10% of his previous year’s income.
When questioned about the source of these funds, he suggested that the capital may have originated from assets he possessed prior to becoming a member of parliament. He maintained that any money given to the company was drawn from these pre-political personal funds, thereby separating his corporate finances from his political standing. He stressed that the connection between his personal wealth and the party structure is tenuous and should not be conflated.
