According to a representative, the number of customers experiencing power outages due to various technical issues has fluctuated between 2,000 and 2,500 since the morning. R. Juodkienė explained that this variation is expected because the resolution of initial faults often leads to the discovery of new underlying problems.
As reported by ESO data at 3:50 p.m., 1,100 people remain still without electricity. She noted that the situation remains dynamic throughout the day, characterized by alternating restoration efforts and the identification of new faults. Juodkienė added that some affected customers have not reported the outages because they are situated in country homes or have since left the area.
Regarding the timeline for full service, R. Juodkienė confirmed that the electricity supply is scheduled to be restored to all customers by Friday. While acknowledging the complexity of the situation, she assured the public that restoration efforts are proceeding.
She stated that despite the challenges, significant work is underway, with plans to restore power by nightfall or in the most difficult-to-reach locations through sustained efforts.
