Alert to Vilnius drivers: traffic in a busy street is stalled due to an accident

Significant delays are currently impacting public transportation across vilnius due to heavy traffic congestion. According to JUDU, the disruptions are affecting ten trolleybus routes and one hundred and fourteen bus routes, with delays reportedly reaching up to 40 minutes. Authorities have advised the public to plan journeys with substantial extra time and, whenever feasible, to select alternative travel routes to mitigate inconvenience.

Separately, news reports recall a notable incident that occurred on June 16. At 2:55 p.m., a woman reported to the police that her trolleybus had been struck by a Mercedes-Benz vehicle on the Valakampiai bridge. The trolleybus operator recounted that a man occupying the driver’s seat of the car quickly entered an adjacent parked van and fled the scene.

While the driver later returned to the area, the individual subsequently vanished again. These incidents underscore ongoing challenges with urban mobility. Travelers are encouraged to monitor real-time updates regarding the traffic situation, as fluctuations can severely disrupt scheduled services.

The ongoing impact on numerous public transport routes means commuters should remain vigilant and account for potential delays when planning their movements throughout vilnius.
