The current sequence of rainy and thunderous cyclones is gradually moving away. Nevertheless, the southwestern border of Lithuania is forecast to encounter another weather system, another cyclone designated Deborah, on Thursday evening. This atmospheric front is expected to bring renewed periods of rain, with some areas anticipating heavier downpours.
This event marks the conclusion of the immediate series of intense rainfall for the week. Beginning Friday, weather patterns are anticipated to shift as an anticyclone ridge expands toward the southern Baltic Sea and Lithuania, promising drier and calmer conditions. While Friday may still see isolated thunderstorms and occasional rain, the outlook improves significantly for Saturday.
On Saturday, precipitation is forecast only for the western and eastern fringes, with the evening expected to be dry. Thursday will also remain susceptible to rain, and thunderstorms are anticipated for Friday. Temperatures are expected to rise starting Saturday.
However, the pattern of unsettled weather continues into the weekend, as rain is also predicted for Sunday, despite the day being forecast to be warmer.
