Arsonists were active in the Plungė, Kėdainiai and Vilnius districts

Multiple incidents involving fire were reported across several Lithuanian districts on Thursday. In the Plungė district, a farmhouse in the village of Irkinių burned down early Thursday morning. Authorities suspect the cause was arson, and the full extent of the property loss is currently under assessment.

Earlier that day, in the Vilnius district, another incident occurred in the village of Tapelių. A man, born in 1968, set fire to grass near a house fence. This fire spread, resulting in damage to a segmental fence, with estimated losses amounting to approximately 4,000 euros.

Separately, in the Kėdainiai district, a water sampling station in the fields burned down near the village of Dotnuvos, also suspected to be an act of arson. The property owner and the resulting damage are being assessed. Other notable incidents included reports of suspected arson in Klaipėda, where a Citroen Berlingo was burned, leading to the arrest of two young suspects by police.

Additionally, in the Trakų district, a light car was set on fire, and another vehicle was reported stolen within the Vilnius district. Finally, another farmhouse burned down in the Vilnius district, where police have successfully identified a suspect.
