Charlotte Pignol, 30, recounted her experience, stating that smoke became increasingly visible around 10:30 PM, leading to an evacuation order received from a municipal representative near 1:00 AM. She described the scene as one with numerous fire engines and suffocating smoke. The scale of the environmental impact across multiple countries is significant, with the combined loss of over 19,000 hectares due to the fires.
Authorities continue to manage the situation as extreme heat conditions are predicted alongside the ongoing efforts to contain the burning areas.
