The implementation of a comprehensive action plan concerning unmanned aerial systems began today, according to officials. This plan outlines several measures slated for immediate deployment across military assets. Regarding the long-term commitment, a minister stated that the goal is to invest approximately 16 billion euros in the sector by the end of the decade.

The scope of the investment is designed to modernize military capabilities across the entire spectrum of aerial defense and reconnaissance. Specifically, the plan mandates the acquisition of various types of drones. These include advanced reconnaissance drones for intelligence gathering, operational drones capable of carrying out tactical missions, and specialized drones designed to repel hostile aerial threats.

The minister said that integrating these sophisticated systems within the army must proceed in a manner described as “very strategic and very precise.” To ensure the success of this technological integration, the immediate focus must be on the rapid and efficient procurement of necessary equipment. Furthermore, substantial resources must be dedicated to training personnel to maximize the operational effectiveness of these new drones. The stated objective is to build a fully integrated, multi-layered aerial defense and support capability.
