The second period proved challenging for the Lithuanian players. Despite scoring a point within seven minutes, the team struggled with shooting accuracy, missing 17 shots and falling behind to an 8-38 deficit, before briefly regaining parity at 8-44. During this period, the Lithuanian players managed only two points, with a single penalty point scored by Liepa Gelžinytė.

By the end of the second period, Lithuania trailed by a score of 9-51. The third period saw a slight resurgence, with the players managing to score a point. In the final period, the Lithuanian squad attempted a comeback to narrow the gap.

Nevertheless, the European bronze medal ultimately went to Spain. The performance highlighted periods of strong play contrasted with stretches of difficulty for the Lithuanian team.
