ELTA: Briefly: the Prime Minister’s wife’s work, R. Liubajevo dismissal, questions about the new member of the LTOU board

Reports have surfaced concerning employment details involving Aistė Sinkevičienė, the Prime Minister’s wife. According to the LRT Investigations Department, Ms. Sinkevičienė was appointed head of the Public and International Relations Department for the Kaunas District Municipality through a competitive process.

Additionally, it is reported that she is also employed at the “Raudondvario manor,” where sources claim the deputy director has no knowledge of her employment. In other governmental news, the government acceded to a proposal from the Minister of Internal Affairs, Martynas Katkevičius. This proposal recommended the dismissal of Rustam Liubajev from his role as head of the State Border Guard Service (VSAT).

While the dismissal was agreed upon, details regarding the individual who will assume the duties temporarily have not been clarified. Separately, General Prosecutor Nida Grunskienė confirmed that the recent drone incident that occurred at Leipzig Airport has established connections to Lithuania.
