From July 1st – a gift from the state to homeowners: they can drink thousands of euros

Energy Minister Žygimantas Vaičiūnas announced an expansion of financial support aimed at increasing the adoption rate of renewable heating technologies. According to the Minister, these advanced systems are crucial for enhancing household energy independence while significantly contributing to energy savings and reducing dependency on fossil fuels. The enhanced support measure is designed to assist residents who have installed new, unused, 5-class certified biofuel boilers or heat pumps.

Eligible systems include various configurations such as ground-water, water-water, air-water, or air-air heat pumps, provided they are intended for heating a residential building. To qualify for the assistance, residents who have already completed the installation of a new heating device must submit a formal payment request along with comprehensive documentation verifying both the acquisition and the proper installation of the equipment. This initiative underscores a strategic governmental effort to modernize residential heating infrastructure.

By promoting technologies that utilize diverse sources, including various forms of water exchange, the government aims to stabilize the national energy supply and promote sustainable domestic energy use. The targeted financial aid seeks to lower the initial barrier to entry for homeowners looking to transition away from traditional, high-emission heating sources toward more sustainable alternatives. This measure is positioned as a key component of the national strategy to bolster energy security through localized, renewable solutions.
