G. Nausėda confirmed the composition of the new government

G. Nausėda has formally confirmed several key appointments within the government structure, establishing the roles for the forthcoming cabinet. Taurimas Valiu, who currently serves as the deputy Foreign Minister, has been confirmed as the next Finance Minister.

Furthermore, Ieva Andriulaityte, the representative of the Association of Lithuanian Municipalities in Brussels, has been appointed as the Environment Minister. Lukas Alsys, previously the Minister of Culture, is confirmed to take on the role of Minister of Internal Affairs. In another significant change, Inga Ruginiene, who headed the XXth Government, has been confirmed as the Minister of Social Protection and Labour.

The confirmations also included several ministers whose roles will continue without change. Robertas Kaunas remains the Minister of Defense. Raminta Popoviene continues to head the Ministry of Education and Science.

Kęstutis Budrys, who previously managed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, retains his post as minister. Additionally, Juras Taminskas continues to lead the Ministry of Transport. These appointments ensure the continuation of the work of the XXIth Government.

The cabinet structure confirms the continued representation of the Lithuanian People’s Party-Lithuanian Election Action within the ministerial body. These confirmations solidify the leadership across various sectors, ensuring ministerial continuity and operational stability across the government’s portfolio.
