Important message for drivers: not only parking rules but also prices are changing in the resort

Seasonal taxation is implemented annually within the Curonian Spit to manage significant traffic volumes and maintain order within the region’s most popular resort zones. Drivers are advised to verify in advance which specific zone a desired parking location belongs to, as this designation dictates both the applicable fee rate and the required payment timing. This year, the green zone designation has been expanded to encompass several new areas within the Nida settlement.

These additions include designated parking spots on Purvynės street, the access road leading to the Kuršių street 2 area, and the location at Pamario street 55, situated near the former Summer stage. Furthermore, the green zone now covers the gravel-covered section of Vėtros street, alongside the long-term parking facilities at Taikos street 39 and 41. The municipality stresses that the green zone continues to represent the most economical option, particularly for visitors intending to leave their vehicles for extended periods.

Understanding these jurisdictional areas is crucial for compliance. By checking the zoning map beforehand, travelers can ensure they select a parking spot that aligns with their budgetary needs and the required payment protocols for each specific area. This proactive measure helps maintain smooth traffic flow across the entire resort complex.
