A joint statement issued by the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Ministry of Defense, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs confirmed that an operation was launched by the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Ministry of Defense, alongside police and local authorities, to manage the incident. Due to security concerns, nearby residents were evacuated.

Seimuras Nazarovas, the Deputy Mayor of the Goranboy district, informed journalists that residents from the nearby villages of Nizami and Choilu were relocated to adjacent safe areas.
