Authorities reported a theft that occurred on July 4th in the village of Nauji Bernatonyčiai. Between approximately 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM, suspects damaged the gate of a farmhouse and stole a trailer containing a barrel from the property’s yard. The investigation into the stolen equipment continued until the barrel was recovered later that day.
The item was located in the Užliedžiai village, situated within the Kaunas district. Following the recovery, law enforcement apprehended two individuals, identified as suspects born in 1983 and 1996. Both were subsequently taken into custody at the local police station.
The theft of the barrel remains the subject of an ongoing police investigation. Authorities are currently examining the circumstances surrounding the initial break-in and the subsequent movements of the stolen goods. The recovery of the barrel in the Kaunas district has provided key evidence, leading to the arrest of the two suspects.
