Furthermore, the agreement calls for the creation of both a public and private sector cybersecurity response reserve. These security measures are underscored by recent events. The General Prosecutor’s Office has been conducting an investigation since mid-April concerning the alleged leak of over 600,000 real estate registry entries from the Central Registry (CR).
This breach has resulted in documented damages totaling at least 111,000 euros and impacted approximately 500,000 residents. Separately, regarding political leadership, M. Sinkevičius expressed hope that he will not be required to assume the role of Prime Minister.
The focus of the immediate policy discussions remains on bolstering national digital infrastructure and ensuring the integrity of sensitive state data following the major data security incidents.
