The Zarasų Palace Justice of Utena District Court issued a decision on August 13th, officially confirming a peace treaty reached between the involved parties. This decision has now taken legal effect, bringing a conclusion to the ongoing dispute. According to Ligita Galvydienė, head of the Utena District Court Chancellery, the peace treaty was established through mutual concessions.
The primary objective of this agreement was to resolve the dispute fully and definitively, thereby precluding the need for continued litigation and mitigating further associated legal costs. The terms of the settlement address specific financial resolutions. The parties confirmed that subsequent to the filing of the complaint, the defendant returned an amount of €202.94 to the municipal administration.
Furthermore, the defendant acknowledged a claim totaling €8,000. This sum is stipulated to be paid to the municipal administration according to the procedures outlined in the court decision, with payment scheduled within a period of 24 months. The court’s confirmation of this peace treaty marks the formal conclusion of the legal proceedings.
The ruling serves to document the resolution reached by the involved parties, thereby concluding the matter before the judicial body.
