K. Vaitiekūnas about the possibility of working in M. Sinkevičiaus team: I know that we will talk about it sometime

During a press briefing on Tuesday, acting finance minister K. Vaitiekūnas addressed questions regarding anticipated political discussions. He stated that while he anticipates a conversation taking place at some point, he believes that given the Prime Minister’s current agenda, such a meeting is unlikely to occur on that specific day.

Regarding immediate policy shifts, the acting head of the Ministry of Finance confirmed that he has not yet received any formal proposals. Consequently, he could not articulate what decision he would make in the interim. Vaitiekūnas also offered comments about his future professional plans following his tenure within Inga Ruginienė’s cabinet.

He indicated that while he was considering a period of rest, he did not wish to commit to a specific timeline. “I don’t know anything specific; I will think when I know,” he told reporters. He emphasized that his decision-making process is thorough, requiring him to evaluate matters from both his own perspective and that of the party proposing the action.

When pressed about what he knew regarding future directives, he remained cautious. He stressed that he could not definitively speak about forthcoming changes. His statements suggest a measured approach to his career trajectory, indicating that any commitment or plan must be fully assessed before he can offer a definitive answer about his next steps.
