Wagner, who held the highest rating during that phase, with a score of 15:13. In the final round, Ažukaitė defeated Swedish opponent L. Ultjarn by a score of 15:14.
However, she ultimately lost the decisive match to L. Eriksson of Sweden, who was crowned the champion. Paulina Bajorūnaitė-Stauskė was narrowly close to achieving a medal.
After winning all her preliminary matches and securing first place in the rating, the athlete advanced to the quarterfinals. Nevertheless, following a highly competitive and physically demanding bout, she was defeated by L. Eriksson of Sweden with a score of 14:15.
Both athletes demonstrated high levels of competition throughout the tournament’s rounds.
