The Ministry of Education, Science and Sports (MES) has announced the establishment of a structured bilingual curriculum, a measure approved by Minister of Education, Science and Sports Raminta Popa. This new framework details the organization of bilingual education within the country. Deputy Minister of Education, Science and Sports, Rolandas Zuoza, stated that the measure addresses instances where various vocational training providers offer instruction in foreign languages. The primary objective, Zuoza explained, is to enhance opportunities for foreigners to acquire proficiency in the Lithuanian language. By doing so, the Ministry anticipates promoting smoother integration of foreign residents into both the national labor market and broader society.
