Mantas joined the yellow and black team in April, taking over the head coach position from Jurgis Pučinskis, who had also departed Šiauliai. The team played a total of 18 official matches under Mantas’s leadership. During the TOPLIGA season, the yellow and black side secured two victories and recorded three draws, accumulating ten losses.
In the LFF Cup competition, the squad advanced without defeat, earning a spot in the semi-final scheduled for early September in Šiauliai. Mantas brings extensive experience to the role. Throughout his playing career, which began in his hometown, he also transitioned into coaching.
His coaching journey started with the FA Šiauliai B team, where he served as an assistant coach to the senior squad. Subsequently, he took on the role of head coach for the Lithuanian youth national team up to 21 years. His appointment marks a continuation of local talent guiding the team from the sidelines.
