The Ministry of Education, Science and Sports (MESM) intends to present details regarding these measures, which are scheduled for implementation between 2026 and 2028. Regarding current recruitment pipelines, the speaker noted that annually, about 2,000 individuals enter the teaching profession. This intake is comprised of students enrolling in bachelor’s degrees, from which about 1,400 are expected, alongside approximately 600 individuals seeking to retrain or gain additional qualifications.
The speaker indicated that current projections suggest a similar intake number for the current year, though official admissions processes have not yet commenced. Furthermore, there was an expectation that the current year’s intake could potentially be even higher. These figures highlight the ongoing need to bolster the workforce of teachers.
