Later the same day, a separate group of eight individuals was detained at the border protection post located at Lake Galadusy, a body of water forming part of the border between Poland and Lithuania.
These individuals were found without the necessary documentation to legally reside in Poland. The following day, Polish border guards continued their operations, arresting an additional 12 migrants. Six of these migrants were detained in the Špiliškė district, an area proximate to the Lithuanian border.
Furthermore, four men were intercepted in a light truck bearing Lodz registration plates, which included a 52-year-old Ukrainian woman. Two other individuals were discovered hiding a short distance from the vehicle that was being inspected. Simultaneously, border guards operating in the Suvalk region located and detained two more people who were hiding near a vehicle undergoing checks.
These reports underscore ongoing monitoring efforts along the Polish border, particularly near the border with Lithuania. The cumulative arrests highlight ongoing efforts by Polish authorities to enforce immigration laws and manage movement across the border.
