Wind conditions are projected to be light during the night, while winds during the day are expected to blow from the west or northwest, reaching speeds between 6 and 11 meters per second.
Temperature ranges are forecast to be between 18 and 23 degrees Celsius overnight, climbing to 32–37 degrees Celsius during the day. Forecasters note that the intense heat is anticipated to begin subsiding later in the week. Looking ahead to Tuesday, the weather pattern remains unsettled, with forecasts predicting short rain showers and thunderstorms.
Winds are expected to blow from the northwest at 5–10 m/s. The temperature outlook for Tuesday suggests a cooler transition, with nighttime temperatures ranging from 16 to 21 degrees Celsius, and daytime highs between 26 and 31 degrees Celsius. Overall, the forecast indicates a potential peak temperature rise up to 37 degrees Celsius.
In related news, the service also reminded the public about record-breaking temperatures observed previously. Specifically, on Sunday, a new temperature record for June was established in Druskininkai at 36.3 degrees Celsius. Furthermore, the highest recorded heat for June 28th was also achieved on that date, noting that a comparable record had not been set in two years.
