On the weekend, firefighters faced raging fire and wind, and pulled two people out of the water

Multiple structure fires were reported across the Neringa and Endriškis municipalities over the weekend, involving residential and commercial properties. On Friday afternoon, a fire occurred around 1:00 p.m. in the Neringa municipality, specifically on Vėtros gatvė.

The incident took place in a large building composed of 22 semi-detached garages that had been converted for residential use. While automatic smoke detectors in the building were reported to be functioning, the fire resulted in the burning of the roof covering, and the roof covering of two individual garages was removed. Later that day, at approximately 1:48 p.m., a separate fire was reported in the Endriškis municipality, located in the Boniškės village.

The blaze occurred inside a manufacturing building that housed a woodworking workshop. The fire burned an estimated ten square meters of wood, and reports indicated that no smoke detectors were present in this structure. The incidents continued into Saturday.

Around 5:39 p.m., a residential fire was reported in the Ližiai village within the Endriškis municipality. This fire affected a wooden residential house. Firefighters were deployed to the scene and successfully removed two gas cylinders from the structure.

The resulting fire caused damage to the roof, a section of the house wall, as well as various household items, furniture, and electrical appliances within the building.
