The Belarusian propaganda news agency BelTA reported that Alexander Lukashenko conveyed a message during a remote meeting concerning the 2026 harvesting campaign. Lukashenko stated that he had directed the Belarusian defense minister, Viktor Khrenin, to ensure that the directives were executed. He explained that given the current shortage of workers within the country, punitive measures such as arrest were inappropriate for underperforming individuals.
