The Vilnius District Court has officially approved a peace treaty between Paysera LT and the Vilnius City Municipality Administration, the company announced on Friday. Paysera LT confirmed that the legal settlement was a significant step in protecting the institution’s standing. In a statement regarding the outcome, General Director Justina Šidlauskienė noted that the primary objective was safeguarding the company’s reputation, which the treaty addressed directly.
According to the agreement, the dispute concluded with a formal acknowledgment that no false information was disseminated. The statement further emphasized the foundational principle of the financial institution. Šidlauskienė asserted that because the financial services sector operates entirely on customer trust, this core principle remains non-negotiable for the company.
The successful negotiation and subsequent court approval mark a formal resolution to the dispute with the Vilnius administration. This development follows previous legal activities involving the company, including its acquisition of the electronic money institution “Contis” and prior litigation matters in Vilnius. The approved peace treaty solidifies the operational framework for the company moving forward, confirming a mutual understanding between the private entity and the municipal government.
The resolution brings a defined closure to the legal dispute, allowing the company to refocus its efforts on its core financial services.
