The Israeli army has reportedly declined to open a criminal investigation into the killing of seven employees from the charity World Central Kitchen (WCK) in Gaza. This decision prompted a significant international response. Following the announcement on Wednesday that the investigation into the WCK convoy attack would cease, the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the Israeli ambassador in Warsaw, Yaakov Finkelstein, was summoned to the ministry.
The Polish MFA expressed “great disappointment” regarding the termination of the inquiry. The deadly incident resulted in the deaths of several nationals, including 35-year-old Polish citizen D. Sobol, alongside citizens from Australia and the United Kingdom, as well as a Palestinian national and an individual holding dual US and Canadian citizenship.
