Popular seaside place – problems: holidaymakers are disturbed not only by significantly increased prices

Since June 1st, the cost associated with parking in the western section of the Olando Kepurės landscape reserve has more than doubled. The new fee structure requires visitors to pay 2.5 euros for the initial hour, with subsequent hours costing 3.5 euros each. For instance, a two-hour stay will incur a charge of 6 euros, while three hours total will cost 9.5 euros.

Visitors who do not settle the toll immediately have a grace period of 72 hours; however, failure to pay within this window results in a significantly higher fee of 41 euros. Despite these increased charges, Olando Kepurė continues to be recognized as a highly popular destination along the seaside. In response to the new regulations, Alina Mikalauskė, the temporary director of passenger transport in Klaipėda, indicated that it is premature to assess the full impact of the price adjustments.

Mikalauskė noted that the new rates were implemented just over two weeks prior to the current reporting date. The region, which is also highlighted for its diverse attractions ranging from unique local flavors to notable records, continues to draw tourists. The substantial adjustment to the parking fees in the reserve necessitates that visitors are aware of the updated rates in euros to manage their expenses while enjoying the area’s natural appeal.
