Prices are gradually falling: here is where it is cheapest to fill up a car’s tank

Fuel selling companies are required to provide daily information regarding the prices of fuel sold at their stations by 10 a.m. This data is published on the en.lt website. Fuel prices at stations are subject to multiple changes throughout the day.

On Friday, June 19th, the diesel prices across various stations showed a range. The lowest diesel price was recorded at the Utentra station in Utena, at 1.669 Eur/l. Conversely, the highest diesel price was observed at the Kriketo station in Trakai, reaching 1.959 Eur/l.

The overall diesel prices fluctuated between these two points on Friday morning. The average diesel price for the day was 1.780 Eur/l, representing a decrease of 1.8% compared to the previous day, Thursday, June 18th, when the average was 1.812 Eur/l. Furthermore, the lowest petrol price was noted on the fifth.

Regarding regulatory changes, it was stated that the excise duty on diesel will not be extended, with the rationale provided that “the oil price is already much lower.” This daily reporting mechanism ensures that consumers are informed about the current prices of fuel at all service stations.
