Prienų firefighters saved a man injured in a burning house

On June 20, the Kaunas Fire Brigade responded to multiple fire incidents across different locations. One call was received at 13:07:07 regarding smoke emanating from a residential house in Veiveriai Parish, Juodbūdžio village, on Gėlių street. Upon arrival, the scene showed a room on the first floor of the house was actively burning.

The entrance was secured, and radiators were located inside. Firefighters gained entry by breaching the door. At approximately 13:33:07, personnel successfully removed a conscious male, born in 1960, from the structure.

The individual was reported to have sustained slashing wounds on the neck and both hands, and was also burned to the hair. Separately, another fire occurred at an apartment building located in the Vilnius district of Kaunas. This incident involved a fire breaking out within a waste disposal facility, which subsequently caused a wooden house to become burning.

This event also resulted in one person sustaining burns. In both reported incidents, the professionalism of the firefighters was highlighted. Authorities confirmed that the circumstances surrounding both fires are currently under investigation.

The response from the firefighters ensured the rescue of the injured individual from the burning house, while investigations continue into the cause of the structural fire in the waste disposal area.
