O. Pleikys has established a significant connection to the Vilnius basketball community, having begun his professional career within the local system. His early involvement included participation with the Vilnius Perlo team during the 2018-2019 National Basketball League (NKL) season, where he also represented the club’s youth squad at the Euroleague Youth Tournament (ANGT).
Following successful tenures with other organizations and demonstrating commitment in his hometown of Klaipėda, Pleikys signed a contract with Vilnius “Rytas” during the summer of 2023. It was with the capital team that he secured one of his most notable achievements during the 2023-2024 season: becoming the LKL champion, a title supported by “Betsson.” To maximize his development and provide him with increased playing minutes and responsibility, the decision was made to loan him to the Jonava “CBet” team. Most recently, Pleikys played for Šiauliai “Šiauliai” last season, continuing his professional journey within the Lithuanian basketball structure.
