Scandal at King Harald V’s funeral: M. B. Høiby, convicted of rape, carried his coffin

The Royal Household of Norway announced a transfer of the coffin belonging to King Harald V to the chapel within the Royal Palace on Monday at 4 p.m. Previously, the coffin had been housed in the Red Salon of the palace since Sunday evening. The funeral procession was broadcast live by the Norwegian public broadcaster, NRK, allowing viewers to observe the transfer of the king’s coffin into the chapel.

The procession was led by King Haakon and Crown Princess Ingrid Alexandra. Following them in the procession were the Queen and Queen Mette-Marit. The ceremony was also broadcast from their studio.

Separately, the broadcast featured content titled “From the age of 7 – in front of the camera,” which documented the daily life of a young actor. Among those featured was Marius Borg Høiby.
