Since Thursday, traffic restrictions on Savanorių prospektas: what will change

Damage occurred to a local gas pipeline during the construction of the surface sewer network, attributed to inaccurate pipeline data. Authorities confirm that there is no active gas leakage, and residents are not in immediate danger. Repairs are currently underway on the damaged gas pipeline.

To facilitate these necessary repairs and maintain smooth transit, adjustments are being made to local traffic patterns. These changes are designed to optimize the flow of traffic toward the city center. Specifically, within the segment of Savanorių prospektas located between Sausupio g.

and Liepsnos g., inbound traffic heading toward the city center will undergo a partial diversion to the opposite direction. Conversely, in the section running from Liepsnos g. to Sausupio g., existing traffic restrictions are being lifted.

Vehicles will now be permitted to use the first lane, or single-lane movement in the opposite direction, or one lane exclusively for light vehicles traveling in the opposite direction. Furthermore, for traffic exiting the city from this area, the section between Liepsnos g. and Sausupio g.

will see its traffic diverted to the opposite direction. These coordinated adjustments to the traffic flow are in place to support the ongoing restoration work on the critical gas pipeline infrastructure.
